CASTLE Regional Workshop in Munich

CASTLE Regional Workshop in Munich

The CASTLE activities on the “transport logistic” fair in Munich

In 2011, the bi-annual fair “transport logistic” was held in Munich, from May 10th to May 13th. It is the leading fair of its kind in Europe and therefore was perceived as a chance to spread the ideas of the CASTLE project. This was done by using the booths of CASTLE partner organizations Regione Emilia Romagna (RER), Italy, and Wirtschaftsförderung Region Stuttgart GmbH (WRS), Germany. The latter was represented through the German state of Baden-Württemberg’s logistics network LogBW, a project of Stuttgart Region’s logistics competence centre KLOK Kooperationszentrum Logistik e.V..
At the RER booth, CASTLE was introduced to members of administrative bodies dealing with logistics. An example is Zeno d’Agostino, head of the Bologna Interporto.
The LogBW booth was used all through the fair to inform about CASTLE and the best practices in regional logistics policies. Furthermore, a regional workshop was held there on the afternoon of the 12th.

Regional Workshop “Logistics Policy Based on Logistics Audit Results – The Case of Slovenia

The regional workshop started with an overview of the project and the preliminary results. The main part was a presentation by Professor Stane Bozicnik of CASTLE partner Maribor University. His topic was the specific logistics policy based upon logistics audit in the automotive sector. This audit is part of the CASTLE project work, and Professor Bozicnik explained the case of Slovenia, which he had researched together with Tomislav Letnik, also of Maribor University.
