Location: Emilia-Romagna Region EU Liaisons Office – n. 19, av. De L’Yser – 1040 Brussels

The CASTLE conference gathers several high level experts, EU officials and policy makers from CASTLE regions and other EU regions working on logistics and economic development and is open to all stakeholders with an interest on the status and perspectives of logistics at regional level in the UE.

The event aims at fostering the exchange and transfer of experiences among EU regions with the goal of improving local & regional policies in logistics for SME and supporting logistic innovation and competitiveness.

The Conference is focused on the regional perspectives in the field of logistics at EU level, on how to shorten the gap between transport & logistics effectiveness and competitiveness through the promotion of public policies. Moreover, the event includes the 2nd CASTLE Forum and the Workshop on LoCCs.

The 2nd CASTLE Forum is dedicated to the presentations and discussion on Best Practices in the 3 project fields (logistics supply, demand and training) including “train the trainers” activities, addressed to professionals and public officials that support CASTLE EU regions in developing their logistics policies.

The ongoing work on the EU survey on Best Practices is also presented and the CASTLE Award on Best Practices in Logistics at EU level is launched.

The Workshop on LoCCs targets the goals of logistics institutional consolidation and of supporting policy making in logistics in a public-private cooperation perspective.

We look forward to welcoming the participation of local and regional authorities, European institutions officials, academics, professionals and all interested stakeholders and encourage the debate and the exchange of good practices on the conference themes set above.
