LOGISREGIO

LOGISREGIO is a platform for exchange of ideas, experiences and best practices in the field of logistics management.
The partners of Logisregio are persuaded that the regional dimension of the European Union has to be horizontally integrated with logistics policies. The differences between different regions also call for a move towards strengthening their governance capabilities and reinforcing the cooperation and the solidarity as basic principles of their relations.
Logistics problems affect worldwide. International cooperation is a key issue to address them, and good practices may be valid everywhere. That is why Logisregio welcomes partners coming from all the EU Members States, Candidate Countries and Third Countries from the Mediterranean basin and from all over the world.

Goals of LOGISREGIO
LOGISREGIO is a network oriented to exchange of information and practices in order to promote the development of joint projects in the field of logistics. The partners of Logisregio aim at the excellence in logistics management and therefore create this network with the following goals:

• Implement a fast-track channel of information and exchange of ideas, expertise and good practices in the field of logistics management.
• Foster the participation of the partners in different programs dealing with logistics, making ideas become a reality.
• Develop a methodology of identification of calls for proposals and search for partners in common projects financed by the EU related to logistics.
• Build a common identification through a declaration and a collective vehicle of communication supported by a logo, a website and an image of our network.
• Build agreements on common positions in the issue of logistics in order to influence affectively the policy-making of the EU and other organizations.

Logisregio will promote the participation of its partners in different programs related to logistics turning ideas into realities and improving the performance of the different partners in their logistics management, especially in the following areas:

• Implementation of the Logistics Action Plan, including mutual support, exchange of experiences and development of joint actions in order to improve the competence of the performance of the partners in logistics management.
• Promotion of the research, the use of new technologies, the innovation and the training of human resources in the field of logistics.

Logisregio is an initiative led by ITene aiming at developing a network oriented to exchange information and promotion of joint projects among the members. Although objectives, conditions, consortium’s formation, etc. have been already settled, unfortunately the network is not fully operative due to external problems which have prevented ITene from launching it, European financing among others. ITene would hold the Secretariat and would represent Valencian Region, which Logistics Parks Strategy is an important bid of our Regional Government on developing logistics solutions not only to dynamize the economy but also to set fruitful cooperation field among European regions.
ITene is working on this subject and they expect to count with an operative network in 2010.
